What are the requirements for applying for this these permissions?

There are several circumstances which allow an individual to apply for British Citizenship which is the following:

  • If you were born in the UK, you might be eligible to apply. Being born here does not automatically grant you access, but the immigration status of your family could make it possible.
  • You can also apply if you are married or in a civil partnership with a British Citizen. To do so, you will need an existing spouse visa in place and have been living in the UK for at least three years at the time of your application.
